Prochaine ASOS

Changement !!! (mars 2025)

Dear colleagues,

As you are probably aware, the NIST Atomic Spectroscopy Group offered to host the next ASOS meeting in the spring of 2026. While we have already started organizational work at the local level, the most recent developments in the US Government, in particular, the upcoming large-scale layoffs across the whole executive branch, make the probability of a successful meeting infinitely small. Therefore, to our deepest regret, we are forced to rescind our offer. We fully realize the stress and commotion this creates but regretfully there is no other option. Hopefully, the Scientific Organizing Committee has enough time to find a new location for ASOS 2026. To our end, we will be ready to support it as much as possible given the circumstances.
